Your First Blog Post

To welcome each other into A Level Media blogging and to flex your digital skills, I would like you to create a blogpost completing the following 4 tasks:

1. At least 1 imported image. There are a few ways to do this. Have an explore using the three dots ... icon in the blogpost toolbar and choosing the picture icon or ask Ms Moore if you're stuck.

2. At least 1 embedded YouTube video.
How to do this:
Find your intended YouTube video in a new tab and click on 'Share' underneath it. Next, click on 'Embed' and copy the code displayed:

Go back to your blog post draft and switch to HTML code by clicking on the 'pen' icon and switching to HTML view, pasting in the code where you want the video to appear:

Return to normal typing mode by clicking on 'Compose view' and you should see your video now embedded into your post.

An alternative is to click the clapperboard icon and search directly in YouTube, but the size of videos isn't as good and will upload something like this:

3. A short, personal response to the question: What I've discovered about Media Studies in Year 12

4. New-found films/actors/directors you have watched following Mr Dettman or Ms Moore's recommendations.

5. Remember to click 'Publish' when completed so your post goes live on your blog for all to see!

Welcome to the world of blogging! Now you can click here to move to your first research post for your NEA coursework evidence.
